Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at M&D Care. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, and mental health needs.
Responsibilities- Deliver emotional and practical care and support to vulnerable adults, promoting their dignity, independence, and well-being.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the highest quality of care is provided to individuals, adhering to their person-centred care plans.
- Participate in a rota system, which may include early starts, late finishes, and weekend working, to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Provide focused support with daily living tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and administering medication.
- Facilitate activities that promote individuals' dignity, independence, and well-being, taking into account their interests and preferences.
- Work independently, taking sole responsibility for individuals, ensuring their safety and health needs are met.
- Comply with regulatory requirements, as outlined by Social Care Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales.
- Treat individuals with dignity and respect, valuing their autonomy and choices.
- Develop strong relationships with colleagues, promoting a positive and supportive team environment.
- Commit to delivering high-quality care and support, continually seeking opportunities for improvement.
- Be willing to learn and develop, embracing new skills and knowledge to enhance your practice.
- Listen actively to individuals, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Respect individuals' rights to make their own choices and decisions, promoting their autonomy and self-determination.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team, sharing knowledge and expertise to achieve common goals.
- Provide individualised support, giving people your full attention and helping them when they need it most.
