About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Youth Support Worker to join our team at Sja's West. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to young people involved with the NHS Cadet Programme.

As a Sessional Youth Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering 1.5-2 hour sessions to young people, providing development opportunities to enhance their citizenship and focus on a desire to work or volunteer in an NHS role in the future. You will work closely with a Project Lead and other Youth Support Workers to plan and deliver appropriate content and adapt the delivery to the individual needs of the young people on your programme.

The role requires flexibility to travel and work evenings/weekends where required. You will be part of a supportive culture with opportunities to grow and develop your career, achieve a healthy work-life balance, and be recognised for the great work you do.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality support to young people involved with the NHS Cadet Programme.
  • Work closely with a Project Lead and other Youth Support Workers to plan and deliver content.
  • Adapt the delivery to meet the individual needs of young people on your programme.
  • Provide development opportunities to enhance citizenship and focus on a desire to work or volunteer in an NHS role.
