About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Youth Support Worker to join our team at Sja's West. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality support to young people involved with the NHS Cadet Programme.

As a Sessional Youth Support Worker, you will be responsible for delivering 1.5-2 hour sessions to young people, providing development opportunities to enhance their citizenship and focus on a desire to work or volunteer in an NHS role in the future. You will work closely with a Project Lead and other Youth Support Workers to plan and deliver appropriate content and adapt the delivery to the individual needs of the young people on your programme.

The role requires flexibility to travel and work evenings/weekends where required. You will be part of a vibrant and inclusive organisation that has been helping save lives for more than a century, and you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people.

About You
  • You have experience of delivering formal or informal training or activities to young people.
  • You have experience of motivating young people who have low or unrealised aspirations.
  • You have high levels of IT literacy with a good knowledge of MS Office and remote working tools.
