Road Surfacing Operative

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for operating various pieces of plant equipment associated with road surfacing, including pavers, rollers, and tractors. They will work as part of a multi-skilled operative team, laying coated materials in accordance with specifications and to British Standard tolerances.

Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience of working within the road surfacing industry
  • Experience of working on highways, including motorways, airfields, and A roads
  • Ability to operate road surfacing machinery and equipment, including JCB 3CX and paver road surfacing machines
  • Relevant plant tickets and certifications
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
