Job Title: Road Freight Branch Manager

We are seeking an experienced Road Freight Branch Manager to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing a team of road freight forwarders, an in-house customs coordinator, and a warehouse coordinator/administrator.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of around 10 members, primarily focused on office tasks, with a small holding warehouse.
  • Ensure the branch runs smoothly, health and safety regulations are followed, and deadlines are met.
  • Oversee the customs clearance department onsite and manage gate-to-gate road freight forwarding operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity within the team.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in road freight management, with a background in freight forwarding.
  • Ability to manage a small team and possess a freight forwarding background.
  • Basic knowledge of customs and warehouse operations is beneficial but not essential, as training can be provided.
What We Offer:
  • A competitive salary of £45,000 - £55,000.
  • A Monday to Friday position with daytime hours.
  • Parking on site and a well-established company.
