About the Role

The Community Mental Health Worker will play a vital part in delivering joint training schemes that improve mental health literacy, emotional resilience, and leadership skills among children and young people aged 9-25.

Working collaboratively with other partners, you will develop and deliver training programs, focusing on the needs of diverse groups from Northern Ireland and border counties of Ireland.

As a member of the operational team for the OUR Generation project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of project strategies, fostering strong partnerships and networks within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality training sessions to children and young people
  • Collaborate with partners to build capacity and support networks
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of project strategies
  • Establish relationships with local stakeholders to promote collaborative efforts

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Level/ RQF Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a related discipline (health, education/training or social care sector)
  • Paid or voluntary experience of working with people with mental health needs, young people, or disadvantaged groups
  • Experience in developing and extending relevant networking opportunities
  • A full current driving licence and access to a car (alternative traveling proposals considered for applicants with disabilities)
