Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Community Accountant / Finance Officer to join our team at Get Staffed Online Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert financial services to our clients, including accounts preparation, independent examinations, and financial advice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct independent examinations of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Provide financial advice to clients on matters such as budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored services.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial laws and regulations, and ensure that clients are compliant.
Requirements:
- Experience of accounts preparation (accruals and receipts and payments) and bookkeeping.
- Knowledge and understanding of computer-based accounting systems (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, Xero), SORP and Charity/Company law.
- Good experience of using Microsoft excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to disseminate information in a clear way to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to influence through a positive and respectful approach, and establish personal credibility with a range of stakeholders.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience of working within the Charitable or Third Sector.
