Support Assistant for Children with Autism and Speech Needs

We are seeking a passionate and committed individual to join our team as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant. This role would be an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain experience in supporting children with Autism, Speech and Language needs, and other Special Educational Needs.

The successful candidate will work alongside a qualified Speech and Language Therapist, Teachers, and other professionals to deliver specific interventions that aim to boost students' learning, development, and language acquisition. As a Special Needs Teaching Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work in a small class of students, providing behaviour and pastoral support, assisting with lesson planning, and implementing individualized learning plans.

We are looking for someone who is caring, compassionate, and has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be willing to work 1:1 and in small groups with students, ensuring their safeguarding and providing personal care support when needed. Experience is not required, but candidates should demonstrate an interest in working with children with Special Educational Needs.

Academics Ltd offers excellent on-site training, support, and CPD to ensure the safeguarding of all students. The salary for this role is £80-£90 per day, and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am-3.30pm, term time only. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and will need to have or apply for an Enhanced DBS and/or overseas police check where appropriate.
