SEN Teacher Position:
We are seeking a highly motivated and caring SEN Teacher to contribute to our specialist SEN provision. As a member of our team, you will focus on creating a stimulating and inclusive environment for students with profound and multiple learning difficulties, severe learning disabilities, sensory impairments, and medical conditions. Key aspects of the role involve tailoring lesson plans, employing strategies to address sensory impairments, and fostering a positive classroom atmosphere.

Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Develop customized educational programs for each student, taking into account their specific needs.
  • Utilize effective strategies to support students with sensory impairments and severe learning difficulties.
  • Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviors effectively, maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with support staff and specialists to provide individualized educational support.
  • Monitor and report on student progress, making adjustments to teaching methods as needed to maximize each child's potential.


About the Ideal Candidate:
  • You are a qualified teacher with a genuine interest in SEND education.
  • You may have previous experience working with children who have severe or profound learning difficulties.
  • You possess knowledge of Makaton, PECS, and other relevant communication systems.
  • You have a patient, compassionate, and positive teaching approach.
  • You excel in communication and teamwork skills.
