About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Babcock International Group. As a Maintenance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standard of maintenance for our naval vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical contract management and oversight of service provider activities for ship maintenance periods.
  • Act as the focal point for allocated work packages in core contracts between service providers, ship staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and report progress on quality, configuration, and engineering standards of work carried out by service providers.
  • Assess and endorse technical requirements associated with emergent and additional work, and raise contract variation orders as needed.
  • Manage the ordering and supply of materials to support delivery of core contract activities and emergent defects.

Requirements

  • Experienced Marine Engineer with a strong understanding of marine propulsion and auxiliary systems.
  • Basic understanding of the role of a T23 Frigate.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience at all levels.
  • Minimum HND/HNC qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or have demonstrable experience in a relevant engineering field.
