About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Analyst to lead project work for occupational pension schemes at GBS - Global. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring service delivery to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of a portfolio of projects, including project tasks, review and check non-standard correspondence and reports, and analyse and interpret scheme rules and actuarial instructions.
  • Supervise, train, coach, and mentor staff, and provide support to team members and assist the Portfolio Team Leader.
  • Attend trustee and client meetings as required, and assist client account managers with vital documentation.
  • Ensure client work is processed accurately and on time, meeting agreed deadlines, and prioritise workloads to maintain Service Level Agreements.
  • Manage non-standard client and member queries, and identify opportunities for process improvements and support senior staff with their implementation.
  • Complete daily timesheets and update agreed goals on a quarterly basis, and provide feedback on staff performance, highlighting any concerns to the Portfolio Team Leader.
About You
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in occupational pension scheme administration, including team management and mentoring.
  • At least 3 years' experience as a Senior Project Analyst, with experience in pensions project work or bulk exercises desirable but not crucial.
  • CPC or PMI qualification (or working towards) is desirable but not crucial.
  • A logical approach to problem-solving with attention to detail, and ability to perform and check sophisticated manual calculations and explain them in straightforward terms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage expertly via letter, email, and telephone, and confidence in providing feedback and liaising with clients.
  • A strong dedication to delivering outstanding service to clients, members, and management, and self-motivated, capable of working independently, and willing to nurture change and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and pension administration systems, and ability to act as a mentor to direct reports, providing positive reinforcement and motivation.
  • Hold quarterly review meetings with direct reports and ensure performance is detailed, and comply with all corporate policies and procedures, ensuring awareness of current regulatory and legal obligations.
