Private Client Solicitor Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Private Client Solicitor to join our Legal Services team at Duncan & Toplis. As a trusted partner to our clients, we provide a full range of services, including accountancy, tax and business advice, audit, HR, marketing and sales, payroll, wealth management, legal and probate, IT solutions, and support for international trade.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Private Client law, with experience in drafting legal documents, managing client workloads, and communicating with clients and third parties. You will be responsible for drafting legal documents, managing your own workload of wills, lasting powers of attorney, and inheritance tax planning files, and communicating with clients and third parties via email, letter, and telephone.

We are flexible on PQE for the right person and offer a range of benefits, including mental health support, time to volunteer for charitable work, and a discretionary Christmas bonus. Key responsibilities include:

  • Drafting legal documents
  • Managing own workload of wills, lasting powers of attorney, and inheritance tax planning files
  • Communicating with clients and third parties via email, letter, and telephone
  • Meeting with clients to provide advice in relation to different areas of Private Client law

We are based in the East Midlands and require a valid UK driving licence and own transport. You will be required to be in the Grantham office every Wednesday.
