Behaviour Support Assistant
We are recruiting a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in SEMH/SEN provisions. The role involves contributing positively to children overcoming their barriers to learning by implementing positive reinforcement and strong structure and boundaries.
Main Duties:
The Behaviour Support Assistant will be responsible for developing social skills and raising aspirations of pupils with Behaviour, Emotional and Social needs. They will encourage assigned pupils to participate and actively engage in activities led by teachers, delivering and monitoring short-term interventions on behalf of disengaged and disaffected learners.
Person Specification:
- Good co-operative, interpersonal and listening skills.
- Experience supporting adults or children, not necessarily in an educational setting.
- Excellent role model.
- A positive, warm and approachable personality.
- Reflective, resilient practice.
