This is an exceptional opportunity for a Therapeutic Educator to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young people in Woking.

As a Therapeutic Educator at Academics Ltd, you will be working in a trauma-informed school that provides a supportive and inclusive environment for students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

The role involves delivering creative and engaging Maths or English lessons to small classes of students, with a focus on addressing their educational, social, and therapeutic needs.

You will have the ability to create interactive, therapeutic, and meaningful lessons that help students reach their full potential, and provide them with the tools they need to feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.

With a high staff-to-student ratio, you will have the opportunity to build strong relationships with students and make a significant contribution to their lives.

We are looking for a qualified or experienced teacher who is passionate about making a difference in the lives of vulnerable young people.

As a Therapeutic Educator, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering Maths or English lessons to small classes of students
  • Creating interactive, therapeutic, and meaningful lessons that address the educational, social, and therapeutic needs of students
  • Providing students with the tools they need to feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life
  • Building strong relationships with students and their families

Requirements:

  • QTS/QTLS or relevant experience as a teacher
  • Professional or personal experience working with vulnerable children, with additional needs, challenging behaviors, or mental health needs

Salary: £29,344-£44,919 per annum, dependent on experience.

Location: Woking, Surrey.

Start date: ASAP.

Full-time, term-time only contract.
