About the Role:
Hr Careers & Nationwide Recruitment Service (Nrs) is seeking a skilled Moving and Handling Trainer to join our team. This part-time position involves delivering adult and child manual handling training to delegates from various sectors, ensuring they achieve certification and qualifications to OfQual standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in moving and handling training and development, with expertise in designing and developing training courses aligned with best practices and healthcare developments. Experience in delivering mandatory training for the care sector and NHS is also essential.
As a trainer, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and delivering interactive training sessions that cater to diverse groups of learners. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will enable you to effectively convey information and engage participants. A teaching qualification such as PTTLS or equivalent Level 3 is required, along with a minimum Level 4 qualification in Safer People Handling.
This exciting role offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000, plus car and excellent benefits. As a home-based trainer, you will work at multiple client sites across the UK, making it an ideal opportunity for those who enjoy travel and variety.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver moving and handling training across all sectors
- Maintain professional standards and Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
- Assess learners to complete relevant assessment documents in line with assessment standards
- Identify new products and services related to moving and handling practices
- Provide occupational health and safety advice to other departments and colleagues
Requirements:
- Minimum Level 4 qualification in Safer People Handling
- Teaching qualification such as PTTLS or equivalent Level 3
- D32/D33, A1/TAQA (preferred)
- Healthcare qualification at Level 6 or occupational competence within the health and social care sector at Level 4
- Good driving record and access to a vehicle
