Environmental & Sustainability Manager

Alexander Steele Recruitment is partnering with an international food manufacturer to recruit an Environmental & Sustainability Manager based in Leicester.

About the Role

As Environmental & Sustainability Manager, you will lead the review and development of the company's environmental management policies and systems for UK sites. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and regulatory affairs, to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and promote sustainable practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the environmental management audit programme, ensuring these are completed in accordance with the agreed schedule.
  • Provide the necessary guidance and support to all staff members.
  • Manage the annual environmental review for UK sites.
  • Implement effective waste management and recycling processes and procedures.
  • Lead the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) programme.
Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced professional with:

  • 5+ years' experience within a dynamic food manufacturing environment.
  • IEMA Certification/NEBOSH Environmental Certification.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.
What We Offer

Alexander Steele Recruitment offers a competitive salary of £63,000, plus a £9,000 car allowance, 10% bonus, 5% pension, and 33 days' holiday. The role is based on-site, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5pm.
