Stewardship and Legacies Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stewardship and Legacies Officer to join our team at CHM Recruit. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that philanthropic donors feel valued and informed of the impact of their giving, including those who have indicated that they will be making a bequest to the College in their will.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive stewardship strategy to cultivate and retain major donors and legacy prospects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, ensuring they feel valued and informed of the impact of their giving.
  • Work closely with the development team to identify and pursue new legacy opportunities.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, responding to their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to stewardship and legacy development.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of developing and implementing successful stewardship strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with donors and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Knowledge of fundraising and legacy development principles and practices.
