Freelance Language Expert Required for UK Interpreting Roles

We are seeking skilled freelance interpreters to join our network at Language Empire, a leading provider of interpreting and translation services in the UK.
As a freelance interpreter, you will work with various clients across the public and private sectors, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, and Probation services. Your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality interpretation services, ensuring accurate communication between service users and providers.
To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent language skills, both in English and another language. Formal qualifications in interpreting or translation, such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or Community Interpreting, are highly advantageous.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interpreting for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
- Ensuring non-English speakers understand content after each sentence
- Conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
- Handling confidential information with discretion
- Liaising between service users and providers
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and another language, have the right to work in the UK, and be at least 21 years old. A degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages or any other relevant qualification is desirable.
