About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior nurse to lead and manage a team of nurses within our Discharge Lounge at Northumbria Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the provision of continuous clinical care within allocated resources, ensuring a quality service and high clinical standards for all patients.
  • Exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Conduct.
Person Specification

Essential:

  • 1st Level Registered Nurse
  • Registered Mentor

Desirable:

  • ENB 730
  • Degree or Diploma
  • Managerial qualification
  • ECDL qualification
Experience & Knowledge

Essential:

  • Extensive skills in acute medicine
  • Previous experience at Band 6 equivalent level
  • LEO or equivalent experience
  • Experience of coordinating a team

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of or experience in coaching and mentoring practices and tools
  • Knowledge of or experience in Quality improvement tools, techniques, and methods
Skills & Abilities

Essential:

  • Mentorship/preceptorship skills
