Nottingham, Nottingham, United Kingdom Leicestershire County Council Full time

At Leicestershire County Council, we are seeking a dedicated SEN Casework Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in monitoring, promoting, and supporting the engagement and attendance of vulnerable children and young people with SEND.

The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEN Code of Practice 2015. They will be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, adapting their style and content appropriately.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking junior responsibilities with statutory SEND casework, supporting the Local Authority in achieving its key performance indicators. They will also be required to manage and prioritise their own workload, working independently and recognising when support from their line manager is required.

We offer a range of benefits, including competitive pay, great leave entitlement, and access to a generous pension scheme. We strive to create an innovative, inclusive, and progressive work culture where everyone is supported to do and be their very best.

As a SEN Casework Officer, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of those who live and work in our community. If you are passionate about serving and improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people, we want to hear from you.
