We are seeking a skilled Nurse or Physiotherapist to join our team as a Functional Assessor. In this role, you will use your clinical knowledge to write reports that help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) make informed decisions about health and care benefits.

About the Role

As a Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting assessments of individuals who have been referred to the DWP due to their health conditions. You will use your expertise to gather information and provide recommendations to help determine eligibility for benefits.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication and observation skills. You will work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide them with clear and concise information about their assessment results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' functional abilities and report on your findings
  • Use your clinical knowledge to make recommendations to the DWP
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive support for clients

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A degree in nursing or physiotherapy
  • At least one year's post-registration experience in a relevant field
  • Fully registered with the NMC or HCPC
  • Excellent communication and observation skills
  • A valid driving licence or alternative means of transportation to the nearest assessment centre
