Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing Opportunities: Identify and engage high-volume employment opportunities aligned to customer needs and aspirations, ensuring sustainable job placements and growth sectors.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain key employer partnerships regionally, fostering collaboration and securing employment opportunities for customers.
  • Strategy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of the Employer Engagement Strategy, supporting performance across the network.
  • National and Local Network: Work closely with national and local employer services, business membership organisations, Growth Hubs, Local Authorities, and JCPs to identify sector-specific growth and skills shortages.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Collaborate with employer engagement leads within the supply chain, forging links with local employers to develop employment routeways for Restart customers.
  • Networking and Awareness: Effectively network and build awareness of local strategic priorities to identify local or regional business development opportunities and share this information with the wider company and supply chain.
  • Campaigns and Events: Support marketing campaigns using traditional and digital media and deliver employer engagement events, working closely with the Employment, Skills & Enterprise (ESE) Marketing & Communications function.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience and Track Record: Previous experience in commercial recruitment, sales, business development, or employer engagement, with a successful track record.
  • Performance-Driven Environment: Experience working in a performance target-driven environment, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Qualifications and Knowledge: Level 4 qualification or equivalent desirable, with good knowledge of local labour markets and growth sectors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Proven ability to build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, with excellent communication skills at all levels.
