About the Role

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust is seeking a dynamic and motivated Consultant Paediatrician to join our established and expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, delivering high-quality care to children and young people across the Morecambe Bay Footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide acute and non-acute paediatric care, including medical, surgical, child protection, resuscitation, and neonatal care.
  • Contribute to clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, including doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in medical education and multi-professional training.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Requirements

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice and entry on the Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview.
  • Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (or equivalent).
  • Completed Specialist Training (or equivalent).
  • APLS/NLS (or equivalent) and level 3 Child Protection Training.
