About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Development Lead to join our team at GivEnergy. As a key member of our software development team, you will play a crucial role in the development of our new smart and scalable platform, which aims to make home energy accessible to the masses and empower energy freedom for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and advise the team on building high-quality, maintainable software in both user interfaces and backend and cloud services.
  • Decide on the best tools and processes to maximize team efficiency and deliver working software iteratively.
  • Work closely with the product management team to feed into product requirements and guide the team to build great features.
  • Contribute to architectural reviews to ensure the organization is building software consistently with an eye on future growth.
  • Own software remaining operational, reducing the time it takes to discover and remedy issues.
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of software development experience in a senior role.
  • At least 3 years of team leadership experience.
  • Strongly experienced with NodeJS, Typescript, and a frontend framework (e.g. React).
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure/etc).
  • It would be ideal if you had some experience with hardware/IoT – but not essential.
