About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our team at GivEnergy, the UK's leading supplier of battery & inverter hardware that manages energy usage in the home & workplace, enabling renewable energy adoption.

As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading and advising the team on how to build high-quality, maintainable software in both the user interfaces and within our backend & cloud services.

You will have the opportunity to shape the direction of our software development and contribute to architectural reviews to ensure the organisation is building software consistently with an eye on our future growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and advise the software development team on best practices and technologies
  • Contribute to architectural reviews and ensure software development aligns with organisational goals
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software in both user interfaces and backend & cloud services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive software development and innovation
Requirements
  • At least 5 years of software development experience in a senior role
  • Strongly experienced with NodeJS, Typescript, and a frontend framework (e.g. React)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure/etc)
