Job Description:

The Senior Information Compliance Officer role is a key position in the University of Oxford that focuses on improving privacy practices across the institution. This involves providing advice and guidance to various divisions and departments on data protection requirements, such as privacy by design and data protection impact assessments. The successful candidate will also contribute to the development and implementation of university-wide guidance and policy.

This position requires a strong understanding of data protection law and GDPR, as well as excellent information retrieval, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate will be able to assess risk and find pragmatic solutions, with a strong commitment to completing tasks to tight deadlines.

In addition to their technical expertise, the Senior Information Compliance Officer will possess strong interpersonal and organisational skills, enabling them to work effectively across different teams and stakeholders. This includes the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.

The estimated salary for this role is £52,000 - £62,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
