Job Summary

We are looking for highly skilled midwives to work within our Inpatient and Outpatient areas. As a key member of our midwifery team, you will be responsible for assessing and providing care needs to women and their babies throughout the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods. You will also be expected to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • To assess and provide full range of care needs to develop, implement and evaluate care throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period for women and their babies, working under supervision as required.
  • To always act in a manner consistent with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct, carrying out his/her duties in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • To work within the community and acute services at Yeovil.
  • To supervise and teach qualified and unqualified staff, acting as a mentor.
Requirements
  • Current NMC Registration as a Midwife.
  • UK recognised Diploma/Degree level or above in Midwifery Practice.
  • Basic neonatal and adult resuscitation.
  • UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
Estimated Salary

£30,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
