We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to take on the role of Director of Financial Strategy at our esteemed educational charity. Based in Gloucestershire, this position comes with a salary range of £75,000 - £80,000 per annum (negotiable).

About the Position
As the Director of Financial Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the charity's financial direction, ensuring alignment with its strategic objectives. You will be responsible for leading the finance function, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Additionally, you will work closely with the CEO and trustees to develop and implement long-term financial strategies that drive the charity's growth and success.

Responsibilities
• Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans that meet the charity's strategic goals.
• Lead the finance team in preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly accounts, annual budgets, and long-term plans.
• Collaborate with the CEO and trustees to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress against them.
• Foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the finance function, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert financial guidance to support business decisions.

Requirements
• Experienced finance professional with a proven track record in strategic financial leadership.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, governance standards, and compliance requirements in the charity sector.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations to inform business decisions.
• Certified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent qualification.
