About the Role

As a Classroom Assistant at Study Group, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our international students. Your primary responsibility will be to provide academic support to students under the supervision of the classroom tutor. This will involve guiding students to improve their understanding by confirming their knowledge, encouraging reference to lecture notes and textbooks, and helping them to identify areas of misunderstanding. You will also be responsible for maintaining a record of homework completion and other administrative tasks, as well as providing feedback to the tutor on student progress. Additionally, you will help students to maintain a focus on their learning in English and undertake marking of formative class tests and the checking of summary marks under supervision.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have English language competence of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, subject competence indicated by GCE 'A' Level in the relevant subject area at grade B or above, and completion of year 1 or above of a cognate undergraduate degree. You will also need to be able to work independently and using your own initiative while under supervision.
