Academic Support Specialist

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Academic Support Specialist at one of our client Primary Schools in Sheffield.
Job Summary:
- Act as a positive role model and build trusting relationships with students.
- Offer guidance and advice on educational and personal issues.
- Help students set and achieve personal and academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group mentoring to students.
- Support students with academic, social, and emotional challenges.
- Develop and implement personalized learning plans.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
- Monitor and track student progress.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to address student needs.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping others.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant qualifications in education or a related field (preferred).
