Electrical Construction Supervisor

CYMI Canada Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor to support the Gordie Howe International Bridge Project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical commissioning activities, including preparing commissioning plans, scoped electrical drawings, and subcontract packages. They will also be involved in the construction period, supporting site start-up and commissioning processes, and managing electrical commissioning activities, including assigning systems and responsibilities to electrical startup personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare commissioning plans, scoped electrical drawings, and subcontract packages.
- Support site start-up and commissioning processes.
- Manage electrical commissioning activities, including assigning systems and responsibilities to electrical startup personnel.
- Prepare system testing and turnover documentation.
- Supervise and direct subcontractor personnel as required.
- Complete testing and documentation according to corporate standards.
- Prepare system turnover packages.
- Provide input to engineering on revisions required to system descriptions and vendor operating manuals.
- Prepare design change and non-conformance documents.
- Develop detailed startup plans for assigned project system commissioning activities.
- Supervise field manual crafts as required.
- Oversee and coordinate MEP subcontractors as required.
- Participate in system turnover walk-downs and initiate, track, and resolve punch list items.
- Develop test plans and procedures.
Requirements
- High School graduation plus post-secondary training (preferably 309A electrician license) or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- A minimum of 5 years recent related construction experience, including a thorough knowledge of construction industry practices, methods, and processes.
- Demonstrated experience applying knowledge of commissioning, basic project controls, material management, contract management, and subcontract management.
- Track record of successfully executing projects on schedule and within budget.
- Current First Aid, WHMIS, and Working at Heights certifications.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position with a salary of $120,000.00 per year. Benefits include casual dress, dental care, extended health care, life insurance, paid time off, vision care, and flexible language requirement: French not required. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, and the work location is in person.
