Design Engineer Role at Framatome

Framatome, a leading international company in nuclear energy, is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join its team. With a strong focus on innovation and digital solutions, the company designs, manufactures, and installs components, fuel, and instrumentation and control systems for nuclear power plants.

The Design Engineer will be responsible for producing technical documentation, including 2D and 3D design, calculations, and bill of materials. The role involves delivering the design package through its lifecycle, ensuring all requirements are populated, reviewed, and prioritized. The Design Engineer will also participate in design reviews and HSE activities, seeking optimization within engineering processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production of technical documentation in accordance with Framatome's processes and procedures
  • Ensuring design requirements are defined, gathered, and prioritized
  • Liaison with stakeholders to gather requirements and specificities
  • Participation in design reviews and HSE activities
  • Ensuring solutions are correctly implemented

Requirements:

  • Mechanical engineering degree (HND or equivalent)
  • CAD software experience (preferably SolidWorks)
  • HSE and quality understanding
  • Design codes and Eurocode 3 knowledge
  • Calculation skills (hand calculation, Excel, etc.)
