Building Contract Administrator

Our client, a reputable building contractor in the North East, is seeking a highly skilled Building Contract Administrator to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in a dynamic and growing company.
Responsibilities:
• Administer and manage building contracts from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with the estimating team to prepare accurate tender submissions, negotiating favorable terms with clients.
• Develop and maintain detailed records of project progress, including invoices, payments, and variations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders, resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure timely payment to subcontractors and suppliers, managing cash flow effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate records of project finances, including income, expenses, and tax liabilities.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Building Contract Administrator or Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of building contracts, regulations, and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel, and strong analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks effectively.
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
