Job Overview

Morrison Energy Services is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead our Electrical Transmission frameworks nationwide, with an initial project based in the Somerset/Devon area.

This role is part of our Electrical Transmission management team, responsible for managing civil and M&E delivery teams for National Grid EPC Substations and M&E RIIO-T2 Frameworks throughout the UK.

Our Electrical Transmission business unit works with clients including National Grid and SSE on infrastructure project development and EPC capital projects.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead the construction team in delivering a portfolio of M&E projects from initiation to completion
  • Strategically manage health, safety, and environmental aspects to drive high standards
  • Ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project delivery
  • Collaborate with the planning team to establish and monitor delivery programs
  • Drive a cohesive management team among the Construction Manager, Commercial Manager, Design Lead, and Project Engineers
  • Manage project risks and provide timely resolutions on technical and contractual matters
  • Contribute to new contract tender bids using industry expertise
  • Support the preparation of monthly CVR reports with the Commercial Manager
  • Lead the management team to deliver the balanced scorecard and meet/exceed contract financial targets
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous project management experience in electrical infrastructure
  • Knowledge of the Electrical Transmission and Distribution industry
  • Able to demonstrate ownership of a portfolio of projects with varying values and complexities
  • Effective communication and relationship management skills
  • Appreciation of commercial management and flexibility
  • Able to work autonomously and collaboratively
  • A relevant Project Management qualification or equivalent
  • A full driving license and willingness to travel frequently
