About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Maternity and Neonatal Transformation Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of families and individuals in Hertfordshire and West Essex.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a conduit linking the thoughts and feelings of service users to staff across the ICB via the LMNS, enabling change and escalating concerns to relevant organisations.
  • Deliver the agreed objectives of the MNVP as set out in the annual workplan, using influence to drive highly effective and visible outcomes.
  • Represent the MNVP at local, regional, and national maternity and neonatal meetings and events, providing independent challenge and scrutiny based on evidence gathered from parents/carers and professionals.
  • Assist professionals in identifying and engaging with pregnant women/service users, parents, and their families at every level of change to enable authentic co-production.
  • Support the LMNS and their Trust in planning and managing workstreams of programmes, taking the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.

Requirements

  • Recent or current service user experience in maternity and/or neonatal services within the last two years or a post-graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent.
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.
  • Demonstrated experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments, including working with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and organisations to influence, plan, and implement a programme of transformation and quality improvement work.
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes.
  • Understanding of the public sector.
  • Experience and/or understanding of national, regional, and local drivers for transformation and quality improvements across maternity and neonatal services.
