Hygiene Team Leader

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a skilled professional to join the New Appointments Group team within the manufacturing industry. As a Hygiene Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing the hygiene services on a day-to-day basis, documenting all regimes and implementations, and reporting to the Hygiene Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring hygiene team members adhere to strict protocols and wear personal protective equipment at all times.
- Identifying and reporting any issues that may arise, and taking corrective action to prevent recurrence.
- Monitoring and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, and ensuring that all cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standard.
- Participating in daily Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Completing accurate and timely documentation of cleaning schedules, chemical usage, and other relevant records.
- Providing guidance and support to hygiene staff to ensure they are proactive and carry out their job roles in a safe and effective manner.
- Conducting regular inspections of cleaning equipment and reporting any damage or maintenance requirements.
- Ensuring that all hygiene operatives are following correct guidelines and protocols.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hygiene role within a food manufacturing environment.
- Supervisory experience, with a proven track record of managing a team.
- Level 2 Food Safety certification.
- Basic knowledge of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.
- Basic understanding of British Retail Consortium (BRC) standards.
- Previous knowledge of hygiene practices and protocols.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday, 6am-4pm, with a 45-hour working week.
