About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Chemical Development Specialist to join our team in Greater Manchester. As an Organic Synthesis Expert, you will play a key role in the development of new products using organic synthetic methods.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support the NPD team with delivering development projects, including neutralization, oxidation, sulphonation, esterification, and phosphation processes.
  2. Assist in daily analysis tasks, including wet chemistry titrations and various instrumental techniques such as FTIR, UV Spectroscopy, HPLC, and GC analysis.
  3. General laboratory maintenance, stock control, and ordering.
  4. Actively communicate with the sales team and external customers regarding development projects.
  5. Support the QC team with routine QC analysis as required.
Requirements
  1. Degree in Chemistry (or similar).
  2. Proven industrial experience of organic chemistry.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Technical Manager, NPD Team, and QC Team to support the development of new products. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week with flexible start and finish times. You will also receive 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
