Site Manager Job Description

Bellway Homes is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our East Midlands Division. As a Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of a construction development site, ensuring the provision of safe, efficient, and cost-effective works at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the day-to-day running of the development site, providing clear direction to site staff regarding their responsibilities and targets.
  2. Implement and manage health and safety procedures, working closely with Bellway Health and Safety Managers to ensure compliance.
  3. Motivate and manage directly employed site staff, providing training, coaching, and support to improve performance.
  4. Ensure site presentation is maintained at the correct standard at all times.
  5. Deliver all aspects of production requirements in accordance with relevant technical and planning documentation.
  6. Fully conform to building regulations and warranty providers' requirements.
  7. Ensure accurate production/progress returns are updated and sent to the Head of Construction as requested.
  8. Maintain adequate site records, including Site Managers reports, labour requirements, plant, materials, site inductions, and health and safety records.
Requirements:
  1. Experience of working as an Assistant Site Manager or Site Manager with a high volume residential house builder.
  2. Effective team management skills.
  3. Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety and building legislation.
  4. GCSE Maths and English – Grade C or above (or equivalent).
  5. Valid CSCS card at Site Manager level (or equivalent).
  6. Valid SMSTS certificate.
  7. Valid First Aid certificate.
