About the Role:

  • You will be part of a newly created team tasked with generating accelerated growth by utilizing new investment technologies and bringing new products into the market.
  • The role will be channel-focused, either working directly with key customers who require the new innovative product grades or via distributors to access key regions and/or markets where the new products are required.
  • Your single focus will be new business development, pipeline generation, and being the critical link between the operations and technical teams, and emerging customer and market trends. You will be experienced in understanding the technical capabilities of new products and used to in-depth conversations with customers and distributors. Better still, you've a technical understanding of the polymer, masterbatch, or conductive compound sectors.
  • Reporting to the commercial director, your critical responsibility will be to raise the value of the international revenue stream, winning and managing customers with excellence at all times. You will love working with targets and pioneering uncharted territories, particularly international markets, where most revenues are generated directly or via a distributor network. You'll bring a passion for the drivers that make the numbers jump off the P&L. Above all, you are determined to significantly impact the organisation's commercial objectives for high-value growth, building sustainable long-term revenue-generating partnerships.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • You're an outright sales hunter with a recognised track record of new business development success in industrial/plastics or chemicals markets, preferably across international geographies beyond the UK, where direct customer and distributor management are the obvious routes to market. Right now, your career is simply not enough to fuel your ambition or personal reward. You are ready to positively disrupt an industry and make a serious name for yourself.
  • Your talent and skill as a profound expert in developing and winning partnerships is without question. You have a relentless drive to develop, secure, and win new customer or distributor acquisitions, knowing exactly how to structure business development processes.
  • To qualify, you'll have experience in strategic, solution-based sales in a technically led industry (12-18 month) sales cycle. Your business development background will have been gained from an entrepreneurial, intelligent environment, and you can demonstrate ownership of new business wins in a global marketplace.
