Countermeasure Development Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Countermeasure Development Engineer to join our Electronic Warfare Support Group (EWOS) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our in-house countermeasure simulation software tool, CounterWorX.
This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and contribute to the development of innovative countermeasure solutions. You will have the autonomy to develop models, add new features to the countermeasure software, and solve customer challenges and requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain the CounterWorX software tool, modelling physical interactions and phenomena across dynamic simulations.
- Collaborate with our software development team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of the software.
- Analyse and design countermeasure techniques across various real-world scenarios, culminating in delivery to customers for use in operation.
- Develop and deploy models to batch running hardware, leveraging your expertise in stochastic, deterministic, and exploratory modelling techniques.
- Degree in a STEM subject, ideally in Mathematics, Physics, or Electronics.
- Experience using programming software, such as MATLAB, Simulink, or Python.
- Understanding of modelling techniques, including stochastic, deterministic, and exploratory modelling.
- Experience in at least one stage of model development, including design, build, integration, test, and deployment.
- Understanding of mathematics or physics involved in Radar, Electro-Optics, or Infra-Red system operation.
- Mentoring of junior team members.
- Interest in new technologies and their application within an EW domain.
