About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to lead a small team in developing a functional Safety Case for our submarine systems. As a key member of our Product Safety team, you will be responsible for managing the production of the Safety Case to a defined schedule and reporting to a Safety Engineering Manager.

Key responsibilities include undertaking complex safety analysis using techniques such as Fault Tree analysis and Event Tree Analysis, producing written function safety justifications, and liaising with a wide range of stakeholders both external and internal to the business.

Requirements
  • STEM Degree or relevant experience in leading a small team, delivering functional Safety Cases, and complex safety analysis and justification.
  • Previous submarine experience, particularly in Vehicle Control and Complex Control Systems, is desirable.
