About the Role

Global Veterinary Careers is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Head of Diagnostic Imaging at a leading veterinary referral centre in the UK. As a key member of the hospital's leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and developing the Diagnostic Imaging department to ensure the highest standards of excellence in all activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee image acquisition and reporting across various imaging modalities, including MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy, and digital radiography.
  • Participate in rounds and supervise residents to ensure the highest quality of care and service.
  • Collaborate with clinicians to make joint decisions and manage cases, handling a diverse and challenging caseload.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve departmental efficiency, productivity, and patient outcomes.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a team of skilled imaging professionals to meet the needs of the hospital.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as veterinary medicine or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in a veterinary diagnostic imaging department.
  • Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians, staff, and clients.
