**Job Overview**

Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a highly skilled Environmental Health Officer to join our team. This exciting opportunity will involve working across the borough, delivering regulatory duties related to food and health safety.

We offer a competitive salary of £43,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including flexible working options, ongoing personal development, and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.

The ideal candidate will possess a relevant Environmental Health qualification and have experience in providing advice and guidance on regulatory issues, as well as proven knowledge of legal processes and effective evidence gathering.

This role requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced Food Safety Specialist with a proven track record of carrying out food hygiene inspections and investigations.
