Job Title: Design and Technology Teacher

Protocol Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Design and Technology teacher to join our team in a secondary school setting.

Job Type:

Full-time, 8.15 am to 3.15 pm, Monday to Friday

Primary Industry:

Education and Training

Job Duties:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in Design and Technology, assessing student progress, and providing feedback. They will also create a stimulating learning environment, manage classroom behaviour, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance the department's curriculum.

Required Qualifications:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Relevant degree in Design and Technology or related field
- Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for Design and Technology
- Experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary school level

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Design and Technology or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching Design and Technology at the secondary school level

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent understanding of design principles and technology concepts
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for design and technology education

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Education
- Experience implementing project-based learning approaches
- Previous experience working in a diverse school environment

Working Conditions:

The Design and Technology teacher will work in a school setting, following the academic calendar. They may need to attend staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development sessions outside of regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
