Lean Manufacturing Engineer Opportunity

Elevation Recruitment Group is pleased to announce a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Lean Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading North Yorkshire-based business.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to think creatively and deliver on multiple bespoke projects, ensuring efficiency, high quality, and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead projects in process improvement, new equipment, facilities, safety, and other areas, including development of business cases, financial budgets, resource management, timelines, communication, and reporting.
  • Research new equipment, systems, and innovation within the market for potential investment, with the ability to observe, research, and present findings concisely.
  • Respectfully challenge stakeholders when they request things that are above and beyond the core project scope.
  • Develop a Lean Manufacturing culture within Production teams and the wider business.
  • Guide teams through process changes and coordinate the deployment of new systems on site.
  • Control and reduce costs in the factory by continuously challenging manufacturing methods.
  • Coach, train, and mentor production teams on Lean methodology, structured daily management, and KPIs, ensuring improvement actions are in place when required.
Requirements:
  • Hold an Engineering Qualification (HNC, HND, etc.) with a degree being an advantage.
  • Possess a general understanding of manufacturing processes relevant to the core business.
  • Lean/CI experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments/priorities and achieve results.
