Agricultural Operations Supervisor

Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and knowledgeable Agricultural Operations Supervisor to manage and coordinate all facets of our farming activities. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of agricultural practices, a solid background in crop management, and the capability to adopt sustainable and effective farming methods.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and execute strategic initiatives for crop cultivation, taking into account elements such as soil health, crop rotation, and market trends.
- Engage with stakeholders to establish long-term objectives and goals for the agricultural operations.
- Supervise all phases of crop management, including planting, cultivation, irrigation, and harvesting processes.
- Oversee pest and disease management strategies, ensuring adherence to sustainable farming principles.
- Prepare and oversee the agricultural budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and cost-effective operations.
- Evaluate financial performance and pinpoint areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
- Lead and mentor a team of agricultural workers, providing necessary training and support.
- Assign tasks and responsibilities to ensure smooth workflow and achievement of objectives.
- Manage the upkeep and functionality of farming equipment, including tractors and harvesters.
- Oversee the acquisition of essential resources such as seeds, fertilizers, and other agricultural inputs.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in agricultural management, particularly in sustainable or organic practices.
- Strong leadership and organizational capabilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of crop management, pest control, and irrigation techniques.
- Experience with budgeting and financial oversight.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
