Job Title: CNC Vertical Borer Programmer

Location: Central England

Hours: Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Friday 8:00 AM - 11:30 AM

Pay Rate: £34,000 - £38,000

We are currently recruiting for a CNC Vertical Borer Programmer for our client in the manufacturing sector. Our client is a well-established company that provides engineering solutions in sub-contract Large Part Precision Machining and Heavy Steel Fabrications.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for programming and operating a range of CNC Vertical turn/mill centres, including the Massa MV 200. They will also be required to use CAD/CAM software to assist programming and work to drawings provided to ensure all work is of the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programming and operating CNC Vertical turn/mill centres
  • Using CAD/CAM software to assist programming
  • Working to drawings provided to ensure all work is of the highest standard
  • Setting, programming and operating a range of CNC Vertical turn/mill centres

Requirements:

  • Experience in programming Fanuc
  • Experience in setting work, tools and editing programs
  • Excellent knowledge of programming codes
  • Insert selection knowledge essential
  • Ability to work on large components
  • Previous hard turning experience
  • Ability to use CAD/CAM (advantage not essential)
  • Suitable candidates should be fully experienced in the relevant discipline's and be able to demonstrate specific product and technical knowledge
  • Ability to self-inspect and measure using micrometres, Vernier's, depth micrometres etc.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in programming and centre lathe turning
