Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiologist Consultant to join our team at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic and interventional radiology services to our patients.

Main ResponsibilitiesPatient Care and Assessment
  • Provide expert radiology services, including diagnostic imaging and interventional procedures.
  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
  • Lead and manage a team of radiologists and radiographers.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
Documentation and Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
Research and Development
  • Contribute to research and development projects in radiology.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advances in radiology.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop new treatments and technologies.
Operational and Resource Management
  • Manage resources and budgets to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and reduce waiting times.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
Person Specification

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Radiologist Consultant with:

  • Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Completion of a radiology training program.
  • Experience in leading and managing a team of radiologists and radiographers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
