About the Role

Connex Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team in a Secondary School setting within the Wigan area. This is a long-term opportunity for the right candidate to make a positive impact on the educational journey of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students in small groups or one-to-one sessions, promoting positive relationships and behavior.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement effective learning strategies.
  • Assist with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery, ensuring a smooth and engaging learning experience.
  • Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, adapting to their unique requirements.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment, promoting a culture of respect and empathy.
Requirements
  • Degree-educated or relevant experience in education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to manage and motivate students, promoting a growth mindset and a love of learning.
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
