We are seeking experienced Field Archaeologists and Senior Field Archaeologists to join our team on a casual/temporary basis for an excavation project in Lincolnshire, Yorkshire, and Wales.

Project Overview

Wardell Armstrong LLP, a multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy, is seeking skilled professionals to support our archaeological and heritage services. Our team is based across the UK, with a strong presence in Bury St Edmunds and Carlisle.

Job Requirements

  • A degree in archaeology or equivalent experience
  • Driving license and own vehicle for business use

Responsibilities

Field Archaeologists will be responsible for conducting fieldwork on projects of various scales, reporting directly to the Project Manager. Senior Field Archaeologists will supervise fieldwork, lead small teams, and report to the Project Lead.

What We Offer

  • Hourly rate: £12.82-£14.19 (inclusive of holiday pay) for Field Archaeologists, £14.41-£14.90 for Senior Field Archaeologists
  • Full PPE, Health & Safety induction, and an excellent subsistence package
  • Travel allowance and single occupancy accommodation
